China Peak Mountain Resort in California seeks a line cook for a winter resort setting. This role focuses on preparing meals to order using established recipes and supporting service needs during high-traffic periods.
The job requires stocking, labeling, and rotating inventory, moving supplies between storage and work areas, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen. Weekend and holiday availability is expected.
This is a non-skiing/non-snowboarding position. Prepares and cooks to order foods requiring short preparation time by performing the following duties.

Due to the many variables that affect Winter resort operations, such as weather and number of guests, occasionally employees may be asked to perform other duties or assist in efforts outside their primary area of responsibility as needed, including performing in any food and beverage position.

This is a Winter Resort Area. It requires that work venues are varied and in many cases include steep stairways, multi-level buildings and outdoor work areas, subject to very cold, sometimes wet or very sunny work sites. Walking surfaces are frequently frozen, sloped and slippery. Proper footwear is a must, indoors and out. Work days and hours, as well as the number of hours required will vary, with an emphasis on weekends and holidays.
