Job summary

China Peak Mountain Resort is seeking an Accounts Payable/General Clerk to compile and maintain AP records, process invoices and vouchers, and manage checks and reports. The role supports vendor inquiries and may assist with AR and special projects as needed.

The position emphasizes accuracy, dependability, punctuality, and the ability to handle basic arithmetic and 10-key data entry in a winter resort environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; or 1–2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Ability to read simple words and numbers and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

  • Check and allocate all vouchers for payment and prepare/integrate invoices.
  • Prepare accounts payable checks and maintain AP files; print reports.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and assist with accounts receivable and special projects as needed.
  • Assist monthly closings and provide analysis of accounts as required.

SUMMARY:

This is a non-skiing/non-snowboarding position. Compiles and maintains accounts payable records by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Checks and allocates all vouchers for payment. Prepares and enters all invoices and allocations.
  • Prepares accounts payable checks. Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
  • Answers all vendor inquiries. Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary.
  • Prepares analysis of accounts, as required. Assists in monthly closings.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Due to the many variables that affect Winter resort operations, such as weather and number of guests, occasionally employees may be asked to perform other duties or assist in efforts outside their primary area of responsibility as needed, including performing in any subordinate position.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: Must be at least 18 years of age.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Able to use 10 key by touch.

This is a Winter Resort Area. It requires that work venues are varied and in many cases include steep stairways, multi-level buildings and outdoor work areas, subject to very cold, sometimes wet or very sunny work sites. Walking surfaces are frequently frozen, sloped and slippery. Proper footwear is a must, indoors and out. Work days and hours, as well as the number of hours required will vary, with an emphasis on weekends and holidays.
