Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic Cook for a full-time role, primarily Monday through Friday with a 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. schedule.

The position focuses on delivering pleasant dining experiences, assembling and cooking ingredients, and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen while following recipes and standards. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of cooking experience, strong food preparation skills, and a solid understanding of safety, sanitation, and proper handling.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience including food preparation.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety/sanitation.
• Exceptional food presentation skills.
• Familiarity with general kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Strong work ethic and high energy level.

Responsibilities

• Please customers by providing a pleasant dining experience.
• assemble, combine and cook ingredients.
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen.
• Attend to detail and presentation of each order.
• Place and expedite orders.
• Prepare ingredients by following recipes; slice, cut, chop, minc e, stir, whip and mix.
• Complete hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, broiling and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
• Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain dating, labeling and rotation of all food items.
• Stores leftovers according to established standards.
• Contribute to daily holiday and theme menus in collaboration with the team.
