AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family, serving residents, guests, and employees while ensuring all meals meet health standards and dietary needs. The role focuses on preparing high-quality foods for regular and modified diets and requires teamwork to build a positive facility culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary/food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

We are searching for aDietary Cook that is resident, and family-focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a facility culture. The purpose of this role is to prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees. Ensure all preparation and cooking strictly adheres to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards.
