Summary

Starting pay: $15.50 and up!

The cook prepares, seasons, and cooks food for patients, staff, and visitors, following established recipes and menus. Oversees Culinary Assistants and ensures timely, quality food production.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and schedules to determine food preparation needs.
• Measure and combine ingredients according to recipes, cook menu items, and ensure timely meal service.
• Monitor food inventory, storage, and cleanliness of preparation areas.
• Supervise Food Service Workers and assist as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred, with basic math skills.
• 2-3 years of institutional food production experience preferred.

Working Conditions

• Kitchen environment with exposure to high temperatures, noise, and hazards.

Skills and Abilities
