Job summary

Hickory Tavern is seeking a cook to join our kitchen team in Hickory, NC. You will prepare and cook menu items according to our recipes and standards, while maintaining a clean, organized workstation and following all safety procedures.

Applicants should have basic cooking knowledge, knife handling skills, and the ability to read and write English. Prior cook experience is preferred, and the ability to work calmly under pressure is essential.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Previous cook experience.
• Stands/walks 6 to 8 hours per shift.
• Reaches, lifts and bends, frequently.
• Ability to take direction.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
