Job summary

Workstream is seeking a Cook for South Marin Health and Wellness, a premier nursing facility in Greenbrae, CA. This role prepares meals according to patient needs and regulatory guidelines, with on-the-job training provided.

You will work with the Head Cook and Director of Food Services to ensure safe, nutritious, and timely meals, while maintaining high cleanliness and patient satisfaction in Marin County.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year food preparation/cooking in a hospital or nursing facility preferred.
• Ability to meet health and background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Reviews menus to ensure ingredients are available/ready
• Prepares meals according to patient needs and preferences
• Maintains and files menus per company policies
• Follows safety, food storage and cleaning standards
• Serves patients/residents to ensure a positive meal experience
• Assists in setting up food service production to ensure timely service
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment

Position Summary:

Prepare food in accordance with medical needs of patients and all current federal, state, and local regulations along with Company established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Head Cook and/or Director of Food Services.

Qualifications: If you meet the below –

• 1 year food preparation and cooking experience preferably in a hospital, nursing care, or other related medical facility preferred
• Ability to meet all health and background check requirements

Responsibilities:

• Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with established standards and regulations
