Job summary

The Waters of Gainesboro is seeking a reliable Cook to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner for residents in a healthcare setting. You will follow established menus and dietary requirements, prepare large quantities, and provide suitable alternatives while maintaining high standards of taste and presentation.

You will work closely with dietary and healthcare teams, ensure sanitation and confidentiality, and contribute to a positive dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, healthcare facility, or related setting preferred, but not required.
  • Must possess a sanitation certificate or willingness to obtain one within 30 days.
  • Ability to prepare a variety of foods in large quantities.
  • Knowledge of dietary procedures and food service practices.

About the Position

As a Cook at The Waters of Gainesboro, you will play an important role in creating enjoyable dining experiences for our residents. You will prepare and assist with breakfast, lunch, and dinner while following established dietary requirements and providing appropriate meal alternatives based on individual resident needs.

  • Previous experience as a cook; institutional cooking experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic methods.
