Out West Restaurant Group is hiring a COOK to prepare diverse menu items with speed and accuracy in a busy kitchen. You will work on Salad, Fry, Sauté, Grill, Make Up, and Kitchen Prep roles, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Work in hot and cold environments.
• Stand and walk up to 8 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation of food items with speed and accuracy.
• Work in a kitchen with Line Cook positions across Salad, Fry, Sauté, Grill and Make Up.
• Maintain equipment and cleanliness of the kitchen area.
• Collaborate with team to meet standards in preparation and delivery of food items.
• Prepare food using proper safety equipment, tools and recipe standards.
• Restock kitchen and cook line as needed.
• Commit to food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.
• Demonstrate teamwork across restaurant operations as needed.

Compensation

• $20.50-$23.00. Not eligible for tips.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation of food items. We have a diverse menu that requires speed and accurate preparation, and you should feel proud of each item you prepare.
• Our Kitchen is well designed with large working areas. We have Line Cook positions in Salad, Fry, Sauté, Grill and Make Up, along with Kitchen Prep Cooks.
• Responsible for maintaining equipment and the cleanliness of your surroundings in the kitchen.
• Working as a team to achieve standards in preparation and delivery of food items.
• Prepares food with proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe standards.
• Restocks kitchen and cook line as needed.
• Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards.
• Demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise. Teamwork is essential and expected of all Outbackers.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping.
• Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems.
• Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Visual ability to include distance, close, color, depth and peripheral. Also, the ability to adjust focus as needed. The role involves working in areas with low or dim lighting.
