You will join a mission-driven program serving youth and will work a schedule of 5 days on, 2 days off. Starting pay is $17/hour, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, TB test.
• Able to pass review of child abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

Western Secure Treatment Unit (WSTU) is a secure post-adjudication facility that provides comprehensive services to young women (14-21), using a trauma-informed, strength-based, gender responsive model. Through rigorous education, positive skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment, we empower youth to reach their full potential. The facility features residential student dormitories, on-site schooling, a vocational CTE student work training program, a dining hall, and extracurricular opportunities for the young men. Pay: starting at $17/hour

What you will do: Cooks ensures that healthy and tasty food is prepared in accordance with all Federal, State, Local, Tribal, and national School Lunch and Breakfast Program requirements. They also perform duties in the prepping and cooking of food and maintains the entire dining and preparation facility in a constant state of sanitary acceptance.

To be considered you should: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen (we no longer test for THC for pre-employment), physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Schedule: A schedule of 5 days on, 2 days off.
