Store leftover food items in refrigerator and freezer date and label all food items.
Follows cleaning schedule.
Wear hair nets at all times.
Informs supervisor when a food item or kitchen supply is running low.
Maintain personal hygiene of self and uniforms.
Maintain clean work area.
Wear gloves at all times while handling any food.
Document freezer and refrigerator temperature.
Prepare and/or pull food needed for the following day.
Clean and sanitize work area after using.
Cleans equipment according to departmental schedule.
Keep records, i.e. inventory, meal counts. etc., as well receiving deliveries and giving records of delivery to the Dietary Supervisor.
Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
Follows and enforces the use of sanitary regulations governing handling, preparation and serving of foods.
Follows and enforces guidelines for the wearing of personal protection equipment during usage of cleaning supplies.
