Job summary

Harmony Dubuque is seeking a Cook to join our caring team in a skilled nursing setting. The role requires flexibility to cover day and evening shifts and to prepare meals that meet residents' dietary needs.

You will ensure high-quality food, proper temperatures, and adherence to recipes for large-volume service. Prior SNF foodservice experience is a plus; a 10th-grade education is the minimum requirement.

Qualifications

• Tenth grade education minimum.
• Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents following recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure food safety and proper food temperatures.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain consistency and portion control.
• Assist with stocking and cleaning of kitchen areas as needed.

As a Cook you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Harmony Dubuque by preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
