Job Summary

This position provides high‑quality, appealing, and nutritious foods to customers through food service. Responsibilities include large and small scale cooking, baking, basic food preparation, general cleaning, and stocking of food service areas. Properly use and care for institutional food service equipment and strictly adhere to infection control guidelines during food handling to prevent contamination, while carefully following dietary recipes, guidelines, and departmental policies.

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking, quantity food cooking experience or experience working in an institutional food services department is preferred.
• No educational requirements.

Licensure & Certification

• Serve Safe Certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer (Solvay Hospice House Only).
