Job summary

Fellowship Square is seeking a skilled Cook for part-time or PRN work to join our culinary team in providing nutritious, flavorful meals for residents across Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Long-Term Care facilities.

You will prepare meals per dietary needs, adhere to health and safety guidelines, assist with menu planning, and help maintain inventory and a clean kitchen. The role requires at least two years in institutional cooking and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required (read, write, speak).
• Must have knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Two years in institutional cooking is required or highly preferred.
• Course in food production, sanitation and safety is preferred.
• Vocational/technical education is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus and dietary requirements.
• Ensure food is prepared per health and safety guidelines and proper storage/sanitation.
• Assist in menu planning considering residents' dietary needs and preferences.
• Ensure timely meal service with high presentation standards.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and kitchen stock control.
• Collaborate with dietary, dining staff and management for smooth service.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and proper equipment handling.
• Adhere to safety and health regulations and maintain a safe work environment.

Fellowship Square is looking for a skilled and passionate Cook, part-time or PRN, to join our culinary team and help provide exceptional dining experiences for our residents. • Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans and resident dietary requirements.
• Ensure food is prepared in accordance with health and safety guidelines, including proper food storage and sanitation practices.
• Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration residents' dietary preferences, allergies, and medical needs.
• Ensure timely meal service for residents, maintaining a high standard of presentation.
• Assist with inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining kitchen stock levels.
• Work collaboratively with the dietary team, dining staff, and management to ensure smooth meal service.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment and utensils.
• Adhere to safety and health regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
• Must hold a current Arizona Food Handlers Sanitation card.
• Have at least two years in institutional cooking.
• Course in food production, sanitation, and safety preferred.
• Vocational or technical education desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Must understand, speak, read, and write fluent English.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
