Decatur County Hospital in Cook, KS is seeking a dedicated hospital dietary assistant to prepare hot and cold foods for patients and cafe, following approved menus and recipes. The role requires strong presentation and teamwork to deliver appetizing meals.

The employee will assist with all meal prep tasks, stock, clean, and help with events, with cross-training across the dietary department as directed by the Dietary Director.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of health care food service experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred; or must obtain within one year of employment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Heavy emphasis on attention to detail and ability to think critically.

Responsabilités

• Assist with all aspects of meal preparation, including stocking food and supplies, cleaning, washing dishes, preparing desserts, rolling silverware, and assisting with special events as directed by the Dietary Director.

All employees are expected to cross train throughout the dietary department.
