Job description

Join to apply for the Cook role at Crestline Hotels & Resorts.

Overview: The Cook will prepare, season, and cook dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, or desserts for the hotel.

Pay rate: starts at $18/hr.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and strictly abide by State sanitation/Health regulations and Hotel requirements.
  2. Check the quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure standards are met.
  3. Prepare and cook foods of all types, either regularly or for special guests or functions.
  4. Complete opening duties: set up workstation, inspect tools and equipment, check production schedule, establish priorities, transport supplies.
  5. Start prep work for the menu of the day.
  6. Inform F&B service staff of 86'd items and available menu specials.
  7. Maintain proper storage procedures as per Health Department and Hotel requirements.
  8. Perform closing duties: return items to storage, clean and organize prep and storage areas, turn off equipment.
  9. Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize; follow directions; work cohesively as a team; work with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in food preparation and handling.
  • Culinary training or apprenticeship certification preferred.
