Job summary

The Renley of Collierville in Collierville, TN, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to plan, prepare, and serve meals for residents in an assisted living community. The role supports a dining services team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent and a Food Service Sanitation Certificate; experience with large-volume meal prep and some supervisory exposure is preferred.

• Experience with volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in a timely and sanitary manner.
• Assists Culinary Services Director in maintaining an organized Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains dining service standards including service delivery, customer service, and cleanliness.
• Cleans after preparation and service; maintains work area, pots, and equipment.
• Ensures leftovers are properly labeled, dated, and stored.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
