Senior Solutions Management Group is hiring a Dietary Cook to support our senior residents with balanced meals and therapeutic diets. The role involves precise food preparation, adherence to safety standards, and timely service within a care facility.

You will prepare meals per planned menus, maintain clean work areas, monitor temperatures, and assist with special events. Certification is a plus, and a commitment to quality service is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing meals for regular and therapeutic diets.
• Familiar with food safety and proper temperature control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu.
• Follow proper food handling and food safety techniques according to established policies and regulations.
• Ensures that the proper quantity of food is prepared.
• Prepare food for special events as instructed by the supervisor.
• Keep work area clean and uncluttered during preparation and service of food.
• Use proper technique to taste prepared food to ensure quality taste and palatability prior to service.
• Maintain the proper temperature of food during preparation and service.
• Record temperatures of food according to established policy.
• Ensures that the food is served in an attractive, appetizing manner.
• Ensures that meals are sent from the kitchen or serving area according to established time schedules.
• Properly label, date and store food according to established policies.
• Ensures that refrigerator/freezer temperatures are within the appropriate range.
• Washes pots, pans, serving utensils, etc. according to established procedures for manual and/or automatic dishwashing.
• Make recommendations regarding improvements in recipes, menus, production and service of food, equipment, etc.
