- Preparing and cooking food according to recipes, specifications, and established quality standards.
- Preparing ingredients, sauces, proteins, vegetables, and other menu items for service.
- Maintaining consistency in portioning, presentation, flavor, and temperature.
- Working closely with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
- Keeping your workstation clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shift.
- Following proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicating clearly with Chefs and fellow team members about timing, inventory, special requests, and kitchen needs.
- Helping with prep, service, dishwashing, receiving, storage, and other kitchen responsibilities as needed.
- Staying calm, focused, and organized during busy service periods.
- Taking pride in the details that guests may never see, but absolutely experience.

Education and Experience
- Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred.
- Previous hotel, restaurant, resort, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Culinary education or formal culinary training preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to follow recipes, preparation instructions, and portion standards.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly with Chefs, culinary team members, and other hotel departments.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move throughout the shift for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, push, pull, and carry as required.
- Ability to lift and carry food products, supplies, equipment, and other items as needed.
- Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced, and physically demanding kitchen environment.
- Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and use knives and other culinary tools.
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and follow all safety procedures.
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation throughout the shift.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
