Job summary

Avina of Pewaukee is seeking a dependable cook to prepare quality meals for residents, follow safety guidelines, and contribute to a caring kitchen team. You will open the kitchen, ensure timely service, and assist with cart deliveries and snack service.

Ideal candidates have prior food service or strong customer service experience, are team players with good time management, and can read/write/speak English. 18+ with ability to lift up to 50 lbs is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills with customer service experience.

Join Our Culinary Team – Full-Time Cook at Avina of Pewaukee

Avina of Pewaukee is now hiring skilled and passionate cooks that are looking for a career that truly makes a difference.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare high-quality meals while following food safety and sanitation guidelines.




• Open the kitchen and ensure meals are served on time.




• Deliver food carts to resident care areas.




• Prepare and serve nutritious snacks between meals.




• Assist with kitchen setup, cleanup, and inventory.

Shifts Available:

• Full-Time: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM




• Flex Cook: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous food service experience preferred.




• At least 1 year of customer service experience or strong interpersonal skills.




• Team-oriented with excellent communication and attention to detail.




• Reliable, dependable, and organized with strong time management skills.




• Knowledge in dietary techniques and procedures




• Must have a general interest in geriatrtics




• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language




• Be able to lift up to 50 LBS




• Must be at least 18 years of age
