Job summary

SpringHill Suites Charlotte City Center in Charlotte, NC is hiring a full-time cook to prepare and serve high quality meals according to hotel standards. The role runs 4pm–1am, requiring weekday and weekend availability.

You will work as part of a team, ensuring safe food handling, measuring portions, and maintaining clean stations. Minimum kitchen experience preferred; a culinary training is a plus. Daily pay option is available.

• Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
• High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; Training from a culinary school will be an asset

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu
• Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner
• Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature
• Prepares and properly garnishes all food orders as they are received in accordance with menu specifications, ensuring proper plate presentation
• Checks all coolers and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity, and quality of food products
• Takes proper care of ranges, ovens, broilers, fryers, griddles, utensils and other equipment

The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charlotte City Center is currently hiring for a full-time Cook. The hours for this position are 4pm-1am; weekday and weekend availability is required.

JOB SETTING AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employees in this position work primarily indoors. To perform the job successfully the candidate must possess manual dexterity, must be able to stand for long periods of time, have the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, bend, stretch, twist, or reach out, and operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business requirements.
