Job summary

Alliance Center for Education is seeking an experienced cook for its Head Start Program. This is a 10-month, 8 hours per day position.

The cook will independently prepare breakfast, lunch and snack for 100+ preschool children, following USDA guidelines, and transport meals from the kitchen to classrooms. The role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with preferred ServSafe certification and prior school/daycare cooking experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Experience as a cook in a school or daycare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch and snack for 100+ preschool children following USDA guidelines.
• Transport meals from kitchen to classroom and return service containers after meals.
• Ensure meals are served efficiently and safely within a 10-month schedule.
