Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls, IA is hiring a Cook for full-time evenings with every other weekend. This 100-bed skilled nursing community offers a meaningful role in providing high-quality dining experiences for residents.

As a Cook, you will contribute to menu planning, prepare meals that meet nutritional guidelines, and deliver a dignified dining experience. Training in Food Safety and Modified Diets is encouraged; healthcare dietary experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to menu planning and meal preparation, meeting nutritional guidelines and resident preferences.
• Prepare and serve meals that are nutritious and contribute to residents' comfort and quality of life.
• Ensure meals are well-balanced, safely prepared, and attractively presented.
• Develop positive relationships with residents and incorporate feedback into meal service.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to menu planning and meal preparation, bringing creativity and personal flair while meeting nutritional guidelines and resident preferences.
• Prepare and serve meals that create an enjoyable, dignified dining experience and support residents’ comfort, satisfaction, and quality of life.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and attractively presented in accordance with dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Develop positive, respectful relationships with residents by engaging with them and incorporating feedback into meal service whenever possible.

What it takes to become a Cook with Care Initiatives:

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
