Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring nutritious and appetizing dishes.
• Meal Service: Serve meals timely with high quality, proper portions and presentation.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Keep kitchen clean, sanitary and well-organized following safety procedures.
• Team Collaboration: Work with Dietary Manager and staff; assist in training new kitchen staff.
• Inventory Control: Help track food supplies and report shortages to the manager.
• Resident Engagement: Accommodate dietary requests and preferences, ensuring satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring food is nutritious, appetizing, and prepared according to dietary requirements and resident preferences.
• Meal Service: Ensure meals are served in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment by following food safety and sanitation procedures. Ensure proper storage and handling of food supplies.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and quality service. Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.
• Inventory Control: Assist with inventory management and help track food supplies. Report shortages or order needs to the Dietary Manager.
• Resident Engagement: Respond to special dietary requests and accommodate residents’ food preferences, ensuring satisfaction with meals served.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including safe food handling and proper sanitation practices.
