Job summary

Brookings Health System is seeking a reliable Cook to join our team in Brookings, SD. The Cook will prepare assigned food items per standardized recipes, including entrees, vegetables, desserts and salads.

Qualifications include at least two years in a food service setting and Serv-Safe certification or completion within 3 months. Strong reading of recipes and knowledge of sanitation are required. This is a full-time position with benefits and rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience in a full service restaurant, fast food, or institutional setting.
• Serv-Safe certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire date.
• Must be able to read and follow recipes.
• Must have a working knowledge of food service equipment.
• Must have basic knowledge of sanitation and food safety.
