Job summary

Meridian Senior Living in Breese, IL is hiring a Cook to support our Dining Services Manager. You will handle food ordering, preparation, delivery, and kitchen sanitation to maintain nutritious and appetizing meals for residents.

You will ensure supplies and equipment are managed, provide excellent service to residents and staff, and follow state regulations. A high school diploma or equivalent and food handler training are required; prior eldercare experience and supervisory exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and training as required by State regulations.
• Six months’ prior experience in a food service department preferred.
• Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver nutritious, appetizing meals while maintaining kitchen sanitation.
• Assist with food ordering and supplies, and support the Dining Services Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff.
