Job summary

Meridian Senior Living is hiring a Cook to join our dining team and support the community’s food ordering, preparation, and delivery. You will work closely with the Dining Services Manager to ensure meals are nutritious, appetizing, and safely prepared in a clean kitchen.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent, six months of food service experience, and a genuine compassion for serving the elderly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Six months’ prior experience in a food service department is preferred.
• Supervisory experience is desirable.
• Obtain a Food Handler Permit as required by State regulations.
• Experience working with the elderly and compassion for residents is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dining Services Manager with food ordering, preparation, and delivery for the community.
• Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals and ensure kitchen sanitation.
• Maintain supplies and equipment to support daily kitchen operations.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, staff, and visitors.
