Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals for memory care residents in accordance with planned menus
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures at all times
• Assist with meal planning and menu development to meet dietary needs and preferences
• Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering and stocking kitchen supplies
• Accommodate special dietary restrictions, modified textures, and individualized nutrition plans
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
• Collaborate with dining and care staff to ensure timely and accurate meal service

Requirements

• Previous cooking or food service experience, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines accurately
• Experience preparing meals for individuals with special dietary needs or restrictions
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced kitchen
• Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs as needed
