Job summary

Regency Village at Bend is seeking a compassionate Cook to join our retirement and assisted living community in Bend, Oregon. You will prepare and serve meals, oversee foodservice operations, and ensure adequate food and supplies are available to residents.

Responsibilities include following menus, maintaining a clean, safe kitchen, and complying with sanitation codes while providing warm, quality service to residents.

Qualifications

• One year of cooking experience.
• Food Handler's card.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Follow menu cycle, noting changes or substitutions made on proper form
• Clean and maintains a neat, safe working environment, including the kitchen and food service areas
• Comply with state sanitation codes
• Maintain inventory control, places food orders, verifies that items are received appropriately, and restock appropriately
• Ensure that resident food preferences are known and followed
