Job summary

The Arbor Company is hiring a Cook in Basking Ridge, NJ to join our care-focused dining team. You will prepare meals, follow menu cycles, and ensure high quality service for residents, with attention to dietary modifications and recipes designed for comfort and nutrition.

You will support stock deliveries, rotation, and safety protocols while collaborating with the Dining Director to manage prep and service flow, ensuring a positive resident dining experience.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or training or restaurant cooking experience required.
• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation, food handling and portion control.
• Experience with special diets and long-term care preferred.
• Experience with large batch cooking (100+ servings) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals using established recipes and menus.
• Assist with food stock deliveries and rotation of products.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety per schedules and protocols.
• Communicate with the Dining Director on prep, production and service flow.

• Previous experience with large batch cooking (100 people) at plus.
• Ability to maintain positive resident relations through a courteous, cooperative and understanding manner.
