Job description: Overview: We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service in a senior setting, with a passion for culinary arts and meal preparation. Applicants must be available to work primary the shift 12pm- 8pm with the ability to work flexible shifts if needed.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards
• Assist with leadership of kitchen staff when working
• Ensure food quality and presentation meet the highest standards
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences
• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures

Experience

• Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in skilled nursing community or senior living environment
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
• Strong culinary skills with proficiency in meal preparation techniques
• Experience as a dietary aide is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
