Job summary

Medicalodges in Kansas is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare meals for residents according to approved menus and safety guidelines. You will help maintain high quality in portioning and presentation while ensuring meals meet residents' dietary needs.

You will prepare serving areas, monitor temperatures, stock items, and assist with daily cleaning to keep the dining and kitchen areas sanitary. This role requires following schedules and working as part of a team to deliver nutritious, appealing

Qualifications

• Must understand and follow basic cooking directions.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Self-motivated and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Preparing meals, snacks, and drinks for residents following menus and guidelines provided.
• Prepare serving area, salad bar, and dining rooms prior to meals.
• Record temperatures of food and equipment as required.
• Chart intakes in the main dining room.
• Clean work area and equipment; sanitize dining area and kitchen after each meal.
• Do prep assignments and re-stock items to prepare for the next meal.
• Follow posted schedule for cleaning major equipment, work areas, and storage areas.
• Preparing trays for serving meals and snacks.
