Sagora Senior Living in Lyndale Abilene (6565 Central Park Blvd., Abilene, TX) is seeking a cook to prepare high-quality meals for residents in independent, assisted living or memory care settings. The role emphasizes sanitation, accurate food prep, and friendly service in a team-driven kitchen.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in a commercial kitchen, ServSafe and Food Handler’s permits, and strong communication with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• One or more years in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
• Must possess ServSafe Certification and Food Handler’s permit per state/local rules.
• Ability to prepare specialized dishes for specific diets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Cook à la carte items for residents.
• Monitor stock and inventory for smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, storage and work areas.
• Assist with training of Culinary team members.
• Follow established methods of meal prep and presentation; serve meals promptly with friendliness.
