Job summary

Sagora Senior Living in Huntsville is seeking a Cook to join our on-site culinary team serving residents across independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities. You will prepare meals, monitor stock, maintain sanitation, and help train culinary staff to meet high standards of quality and service.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of kitchen experience, a ServSafe Certification and a Food Handler’s permit, and strong communication skills to interact with residents and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Must possess ServSafe Certification and Food Handler’s permit as regulated by state and local authorities.
• Ability to prepare specialized dishes for specific diets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with residents, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Cook à la carte items.
• Monitor stock.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas.
• Assist with training of all Culinary team members.
• Follow established methods of meal preparation and presentation.
• Serve meals to residents promptly and in a friendly, courteous manner.
