Job summary

Byrne Dairy is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead ESL and aseptic dairy operations across multiple sites. You will report to the CEO, drive lean manufacturing, food safety compliance, and scale advanced processing lines.

The role requires deep technical background in ESL/UHT, packaging technologies, and a strong track record in capital projects and OEE optimization. Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Engineering, or Business.
• 10–15 years of progressive ops management with 5+ years at executive level in ESL/UHT.
• Strong knowledge of Tetra Pak, SIG Combi bloc or GEA systems and ammonia refrigeration.
• Active SQF/PCQI or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt credentials are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership across ESL and aseptic dairy operations.
• Oversee capital projects, automation, packaging, and process engineering.
• Drive OEE improvement and CIP/SIP cycles optimization.
• Manage dual distribution cold chain and ambient warehouse networks.
• Partner with CEO to deliver financial results and Lean initiatives.
