Job summary

UPS is seeking an entry level Maintenance Technician to maintain and support an automated conveyor system in a physically demanding, fast-paced operation. The role requires lifting, bending, and working at heights with PPE; mechanical and basic electrical aptitude is essential.

The position involves operating, inspecting, and repairing powered equipment, following UPS maintenance procedures, and coordinating with a diverse team. Shift flexibility and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read schematics and layout drawings.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Follow UPS safety policies and procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with reading schematics and layout drawings.
• Maintain and support UPS conveyor and automated rack retrieval equipment to ensure safe, reliable, on-time package flow.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical issues using schematics and diagnostics to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and adjustments per UPS BaSE standards and CMMS work orders.
• Follow all UPS safety policies, including lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, and electrical safety practices.
