Job summary

Columbus McKinnon Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Sussex, WI to assemble custom conveyors and accessories, test the conveyors, and prepare them for parcel shipments. The role runs Monday-Thursday, 2:00pm-12:30am, with a 4-day work week and comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical mindset, good blueprint reading skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Prior assembly and manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• 1+ years of assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs safely.

Responsibilities

• Uses a variety of hand tools to assemble all components of the conveyor according to print/work order.
• Inspects finished product for defects and performs quality checks.
• Troubleshoots non-conforming parts throughout the assembly process.
• Expedites orders as needed.
• Collaborates with Engineers and Sales.
• Performs 5S to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
