International Paper in Delaware Box is seeking a Converting Supervisor to lead one shift of hourly production employees on the 2nd shift, ensuring safety, quality and productivity.

You will steer daily activities, train staff, and uphold company programs while fostering teamwork and a culture of continuous improvement.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least two years of supervisory experience in corrugated packaging.

Qualifications

  • Two years of supervisory and training experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving and communication skills required.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise one shift of hourly production employees.
  • Provide clear direction and leadership to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Plan, assign, and direct daily work activities.
  • Train and evaluate employees to ensure high performance and growth.
  • Reward and discipline employees in alignment with company policies.
  • Promote teamwork and resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Lead by example in behavior, attitude, and performance.
  • Ensure efficient and effective operations while maintaining a safe work environment and producing quality products.
  • Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and other company programs.
  • Communicate operational updates clearly and effectively across all levels—crew members, other supervisors, plant management, office staff, and external partners.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support continuous improvement and problem-solving.

The Job You Will Perform

The Converting Supervisor is responsible for leading one assigned shift of hourly employees in the production of corrugated board. This role ensures operational excellence in safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
  • Directly supervise one shift of hourly production employees.
