Job summary

Amcor LLC is hiring a Converting Operator to safely support the converting department in producing high-quality packaging products. The role offers 12-hour night and day shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule with a $1.20 shift premium for nights and a $3,000 referral bonus.

You’ll learn, grow, and cross-train in a team-focused environment. Responsibilities include following specifications, performing QA checks, assisting with setups, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

  • Must have manufacturing and machine operation experience.
  • Experience performing quality checks and interpreting results.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow finishing specifications and customer requirements.
  • Inspect materials for quality and defects; report discrepancies.
  • Perform QA checks using quality dashboard and documentation.
  • Assist with machine setups and basic troubleshooting.
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and accurate production records.

Through hands-on experience and training programs, you'll have opportunities to develop your skills, cross-train in multiple areas, and grow into a Machine Operator role.What You'll DoAct as a safety leader and promote a safety-first cultureSupport and actively participate in department process improvement and safety initiativesCommunicate safety concerns, risks, and quality issues to leadership and team membersMaintain a respectful and collaborative work environmentRead, understand, and follow finishing specifications and customer requirementsInspect materials for quality, accuracy, and defects and report discrepancies immediatelyPerform Quality Assurance checks using the AIMS quality dashboardLocate and utilize inspection methods and testing requirements within AIMSUtilize electronic SOC deviation forms when operating outside standard parametersCollect, retain, and properly label required product samplesAssist with machine setups as directed by technicians or leadsPerform basic troubleshooting when possibleComplete all required production and quality documentation accuratelyMaintain product safety and cleanliness requirementsRead, understand, and follow job jackets, manufacturing specifications, customer specifications, print specifications, work instructions, job aids, OPLs, process alerts, SOCs, and AIMS dashboard informationTake ownership of your professional development and trainingPerform work with a sense of urgency and minimal supervisionMust HavePrevious manufacturing and machine operation experienceExperience performing quality checks and interpreting results to maintain product specificationsBasic computer skills and ability to learn production systems and softwareMath, measurement, and reading skillsAbility to perform detailed visual inspections using measurement devicesCommitment to safety, quality, and teamworkAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand for long periods and perform climbing, crouching, and reaching tasksPreferredExperience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentExperience with production documentation and quality systemsBasic troubleshooting experienceStrong verbal and written communication skillsInterest in career growth, cross-training, and advancement opportunitiesJoin AmcorJoin a global leader in packaging where safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement drive everything we do.
