Major Function
Responsible to operate converting bag machines in a safe manner and produce quality product with minimal scrap, meet production schedules and keep work area clean.
Primary Duties
- Perform timely and thorough quality checks throughout the shift and record them on your shift report. Packer/Inspectors are required to perform quality checks every ½ hour.
- Perform any light maintenance that is needed on machine and communicate major issues to supervisor/lead person.
- Run and catch on a machine or run 2‑3 machines with help of an assistant.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 2‑year product (plastics) or industry specific (converting) machine experience is highly preferred
- Minimum 2‑year manufacturing experience is required
- Job Stability - minimum 1 job in last 2 years or 2 jobs in last 5 years
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Ability to work well in a team and as an independent contributor
