Job summary

WORKFORCE Employment Specialists, LLC is seeking an Assistant Operator to support the production team by running converting lines, ensuring quality, and maintaining a safe work environment. The role involves handling finished products, basic testing, and completing end-of-shift paperwork in alignment with SOPs.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and 1–3 years in manufacturing; a science-related bachelor’s is preferred. Overtime is expected to meet production demand.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in science-related field.
  • 1-3 years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operate converting lines and support high-quality product.
  • Review order specifications to ensure packaging supplies and raw materials are available.
  • Observe finished goods and take corrective action to prevent sub-standard product.
  • Remove and package finished rolls from machine.
  • Monitor equipment and perform routine troubleshooting and maintenance under supervision.
  • Complete daily production paperwork and troubleshoot stoppages.
  • Train new hires on procedures, safety, and quality policies.
  • Follow up with temporary staff to ensure proper training.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in the Converting Department and assist Supervisors.
  • Learn equipment to enable adjustments as needed.
