Job summary

Robotics Technologies in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an AI engineer to design, build, and deploy conversational AI systems for digital customer engagement. This onsite role focuses on scalable chatbot frameworks on Google Cloud using Vertex AI, CCAI, and Dialogflow to improve real-world interactions.

The position centers on end-to-end development, from NLP and GenAI modeling through production-grade deployment and integration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software development, including 4+ years in NLP/NLU for chat.
• Advanced Python skills and experience with ML/NLP libraries such as Hugging Face, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Proven experience building conversational agents with Vertex AI and Dialogflow CX/ES.
• Proficiency with GCP services and cloud-native architectures.
• Solid MLOps understanding, including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Git.
• Experience with Agent Assist is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop scalable chat Virtual Agent frameworks on Vertex AI, including Vertex AI Agent Engine and Google ADK.
• Build, customize, and optimize conversational bots using Dialogflow CX/ES, including advanced intent detection and context management.
• Apply NLP, LLM, and GenAI models on Vertex AI to strengthen chatbot capabilities, such as complex intent handling and response generation.
• Develop and maintain cloud-native chat solutions using GCP services including CCAI, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
• Train, fine-tune, and deploy custom LLMs and retrieval augmented generation pipelines to improve agent intelligence.
• Use MLOps best practices for chatbot pipelines with Vertex AI Pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
