Job summary

Aluminum Precision Products is seeking a Conventional Machinist to operate the Die Shop machinery, prepare dies for forging, and create related tooling. The role requires reading blueprints, precise shop math, and careful measurement, with certifications in forklift and crane operation.

You will contribute to quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives while working in a team focused on high standards and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend die drawings and blueprints.
• Demonstrate proficiency with shop math including decimals and fractions.
• Use and read precision measuring instruments with accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues across departments.
• Maintain high detail and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate all conventional Die Shop machinery including mills, lathes, drill presses and grinders with little supervision.
• Machine wraps and rings and prepare forge tooling.
• Transport dies by forklift and handle basic die repair as needed.
• Ensure quality and production requirements are met; participate in LEAN and SPC activities.
• Cross-train on multiple operations to support process improvements.
