Job summary

Hotel Indigo Baltimore Downtown is seeking a proactive Sales Manager to lead aggressive outside and inside solicitation efforts, dedicating about 80% of time to active sales. You will work with the Director of Sales to shape the annual marketing plan and target key market segments.

You will send proposals, document leads, and coordinate with catering for events, billing, and VIP arrangements to convert inquiries into definite business.

• Excellent sales skills and ability to sell product in a professional and courteous manner.
• May be required to work varying schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Conduct a successful, aggressive solicitation process involving outside sales calls, inside appointments, telephone calls, individual letter and direct mail.
• Assist the Director of Sales in the preparation of the annual marketing plan, including the action plans covering assigned market segments.
• Send proposals on all leads which fit the profile of the property and actively follow through to convert from proposal to definite status.
• Obtain, document and route all necessary information on definite groups, including billing information, credit application, rooming list and VIP arrangements. Details on meeting arrangements, menus, audio-visual arrangements, etc., should be documented and passed on to catering manager for follow up.
