A leading hotel in Boston seeks a Convention Service Manager responsible for coordinating meetings and events, contract negotiations, and managing administrative functions. This role is crucial for enhancing guest experiences through effective planning and communication, requiring proficiency in managing high-pressure situations and problem-solving skills.
The Convention Service Manager is responsible to coordinate arrangements for group meetings and conventions. Plans, coordinates, and implements special events and other meetings, conferences and special projects. Performs initial contract negotiations and vendor service agreements in addition to ensuring that the administrative functions for all Sales positions and the Director of Sales and Marketing are handled, performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Exempt associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.
Responsibilities
You will serve as the heart and soul of the sales office, to include group detailing, inquiry qualification, selling free-standing catering, and supporting the team overall!
