Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise employees in the absence of the Convenience Store Manager.
• Execute open and close duties and follow designated procedures.
• Assist the Store Manager with inventory control including the purchasing of goods sold.
• Conduct accurate inventory counts to produce desired Gross Profit % and Loss Control %.
• Employee hiring and scheduling and controlling labor costs.
• Train and develop cashiers to meet performance standards and provide coaching as needed.
• Sales & Service – maintain a positive attitude and effective delivery.

Position Summary:

The Convenience Store Assistant Manager’s primary responsibility is toassistthe Convenience Store Manager with all car wash,detailand Quick Lube related payment transactions for the Convenience Store. You will also be responsible for providing exceptional customer support, maintenance and upkeep of the convenience store facility, maintain employee relations, develop, train and coach employees, oversee facility purchasing and cost/inventory controls, and screen, interview and hire well-qualified applicants for positions throughout the convenience store.

The majority of thework dayis spent at the Cashier counter and inside the convenience store area, overseeing convenience store operations, working with cashierassociatesand building customer relationships.Additionaltime will be requiredtocomplete administrative tasks and monitor sales and labor data generated by thefacilityPOS system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Itemizes and totalspurchasesby recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items;operatinga cash register.
• Entersprice changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins.
• Discountspurchasesby redeeming coupons.
• Collects payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers; makingchangefor cash customers.
• Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver's license number; operating credit card authorization system.
• Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.
• Provides pricing information by answering questions.
• Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
• Maintainssafeand clean working environment bycompliance withprocedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributesto team effort byaccomplishingrelated results as needed.
