Super Star Car Wash is seeking a Convenience Store Assistant Manager for the Lake Pleasant location in Peoria, AZ. The role supports the Store Manager with payment transactions, customer service, and daily store operations.

You will supervise cashiers, manage payroll and inventory, and help ensure a high standard of service while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous cashiering experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in retail or store operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Itemize and total purchases at the cash register.
• Handle cash, checks, and card payments and provide change.
• Balance cash drawer at start and end of shift.

Position Summary:

The Convenience Store Assistant Manager’s primary responsibility is toassistthe Convenience Store Manager with all car wash,detailand Quick Lube related payment transactions for the Convenience Store. You will also be responsible for providing exceptional customer support, maintenance and upkeep of the convenience store facility, maintain employee relations, develop, train and coach employees, oversee facility purchasing and cost/inventory controls, and screen, interview and hire well-qualified applicants for positions throughout the convenience store.

The majority of thework dayis spent at the Cashier counter and inside the convenience store area, overseeing convenience store operations, working with cashierassociatesand building customer relationships.Additionaltime will berequiredto complete administrative tasks and monitor sales and labor data generated by thefacilityPOS system.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Direct and supervise employees in the absence of the Convenience Store Manager
• Execute open and close dutiesand follow designated procedures
• Assist the Store Manager with inventory control including the purchasing of goods sold
• Conductaccurateinventory counts to produce desired Gross Profit % and Loss Control %
• Employee hiring and scheduling and controlling labor costs
• Train and develop cashiers to ensure they have a clear idea of what is expected of them, standards of acceptable and unacceptable performance, frequent measurement against these standards, and thenappropriate trainingto close any performance gaps.
• Sales & Service – Maintain a positive attitude, belief in the products prices and sales program, and effective delivery
• Conflict resolution, companyflowchartand chain of command
• Ensure compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and policies at all levels:
• Create andmaintaina safe work environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Itemizes and totalspurchasesby recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items;operatinga cash register.
• Entersprice changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins.
• Discountspurchasesby redeeming coupons.
• Collects payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers; makingchangefor cash customers.
• Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver's license number; operating credit card authorization system.
• Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.
• Provides pricing information by answering questions.
• Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
• Maintainssafeand clean working environment bycomplying withprocedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributesto team effort byaccomplishingrelated results as needed.
