A leading county office is seeking a part-time Convenience Center Attendant to assist citizens in waste disposal. The role involves customer service, grounds maintenance, and ensuring compliance with disposal guidelines. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and be able to work flexible hours, including on-call duties.
General Nature of Work
The Convenience Center Attendant will provide customer service and direct Gilmer County citizens in disposing of waste, recyclables, etc., does related work as required.

ADA Requirements: Individuals applying for the posted position must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical Requirements: Perform physical labor which involves frequent bending, pulling, pushing, lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting, crouching, crawling and carrying. Lifting objects and materials 10-20 pounds on a regular basis. Able to walk/stand for up to eight hours while performing tasks such as picking up litter.
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors (such as color-coded medical waste bags), sounds, odor, depth, texture, and visual cues or signals. Hear and distinguish various sounds, such as voices of co-workers in noisy environments and the sound of operating equipment.
Work Environment: Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as variable temperatures and weather conditions; confined spaces; heights, high levels of noise; strong, unpleasant odors; dirt, dust, pollen, allergenics, such as stinging insects and poison ivy/oak, wetness, humidity, rain, and noise extremes, hazardous materials, heights, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, traffic hazards, bright/dim light, toxic agents, disease, or pathogenic substances.
