The Controls Engineer Technician is responsible for startup, debugging, calibration, and verification on newly assembled machines, testing equipment per customer procedures, and assisting with additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or 2+ years as an electrical technician.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and testing of sensors, switches, actuators, and indicators.
• Understanding of NEC standards and state codes.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and annotated PLC programs.
• Manual dexterity to work with wires and small components.

Responsibilities

• Test newly manufactured and assembled equipment according to customer procedures.
• Handle machine control startup, debugging, calibration, and verification of control systems.
• Notify management of recurring issues with equipment or operation when necessary.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Manager.
