Job summary

The Brazos River Authority (BRA) is seeking an electrical technician to install, repair, and modify electrical control systems for reservoir facilities and SCADA networks. You will troubleshoot instrumentation, program PLCs, and develop HMI software to support reliable water operations.

Responsibilities include drafting AutoCAD layouts, scripting complex functions, and maintaining safety standards at central office sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years or equivalent education/experience.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License and good driving record.
• Preferred: Control system certifications (ISA, Journeyman Electrician, Water/Wastewater) and NEC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and modify industrial electrical control systems.
• Install and maintain instrumentation, automation, telemetry, and electronic controls.
• Assist with new equipment installation; troubleshoot time-critical outages and malfunctions.
• Program PLCs and create/maintain HMI software and scripts.
• Create AutoCAD drawings for new electrical systems and update interfaces.
